Betzillo's responsible gambling page (checked 17 September 2026) offers two ways to step back, a short time-out and a longer self-exclusion. Once a time-out starts it runs to the end, and a self-excluded account only reopens after you contact support. The page doesn't describe deposit limits, so any day-to-day spending cap is one you'll set yourself. It helps to settle on a budget before your first deposit, and to take a time-out the first time a session runs longer or costs more than you meant it to.

Time-out or self-exclusion: which Betzillo tool fits?

Either tool stops you playing. Where they differ is how long the break lasts and how you get back in afterwards.

Taking a time-out of 1 to 15 days

Pick a length, and deposits and play stay blocked until it ends. Whatever is already in your account is still yours, and you can withdraw it while the break runs. There's no cancelling a time-out once it begins, even if you feel like playing again the very next evening, so choose the length on a day when you're feeling settled. Stuck between two options? Go with the longer one, because a 15-day break outlasts a fortnightly pay cycle, weekends included.

How does Betzillo self-exclusion work?

Self-exclusion shuts your Betzillo account for up to one year, and only support can open it again. Per Betzillo's terms, live chat runs 24/7 once you're logged in, so that's the simplest place to ask which exclusion lengths are on offer and what will happen to any money still in the account before you go ahead. If you also have accounts with other betting or casino sites, ask each of them to exclude you as well. Otherwise the break only covers some of the places you play.

Does Betzillo have deposit limits?

Its responsible gambling page doesn't say. That page sticks to the time-out and self-exclusion and makes no mention of deposit limits (checked 17 September 2026), so ask live chat whether a limit can be put on your account before you rely on one. Until you know, a few habits can do much the same job:

  • Set a weekly or monthly gambling amount from the money left once rent and bills are paid and the groceries are sorted. When that amount is gone, hold off on deposits until the next week or month begins.
  • Before logging in, decide how long you'll play and set an alarm on your phone for that time.
  • After a loss, don't top up to try to win it back. Log off and leave it for another day.
  • Weigh a bonus against your budget before you claim it. Betzillo's casino bonus carries 40x wagering on the bonus amount, which comes to A$20,000 in pokies bets to clear one full A$500 bonus (our maths).
  • Keep a note of each deposit and withdrawal, and total them up at the end of every month.
  • Give it a miss if you've had a few drinks or you're feeling upset.

Warning signs that gambling is becoming a problem

If any of these ring true, it's a good moment to take a time-out and talk to someone:

  • You often end up spending more time or money than you planned.
  • Straight after a loss, you deposit again to win it back.
  • You cancel a withdrawal so you can keep playing. Betzillo's FAQ lets you cancel a request while it's still pending, so pay attention if you find yourself doing that.
  • You've dipped into bill money to gamble, or borrowed money or sold belongings to keep going.
  • You keep how much you gamble from family or friends.
  • Cutting back leaves you restless or irritable.
  • Gambling has turned into the way you cope with stress or a low mood.

If a few of these sound familiar, there's something you can do today. Start with the 15-day time-out. Withdrawals still work during the break, so take out what's left in the account and there's no balance sitting there to draw you back. Then, over the quiet fortnight that follows, call one of the services below and talk through whether a longer self-exclusion would help.

Where to get help in Australia

Gambling Help Online is free and open 24/7 on 1800 858 858, with more information at gamblinghelponline.org.au. It's the same number Betzillo shows on its homepage. Calling early, while things still feel manageable, is a good use of the service.

If gambling has left you feeling hopeless or unsafe, call Lifeline on 13 11 14.

18+ only: keeping gambling away from minors

Betzillo takes players aged 18 and over and asks for your date of birth when you sign up. If kids use your phone or laptop, don't let the browser save your Betzillo password, and log out whenever you finish a session. Those habits also keep other people in the house out of your account, and our page on account security and verification goes into that in more detail.

For the offers and payments, go to the Betzillo guide home, where they're set out alongside the games with the dates we checked them. You can also read about our editorial team, including who writes these pages and where the figures come from.
